Hormones Imbalance

To understand hormone imbalance, we first need to understand what creates balance. The liver is the primary organ that produces hormone balance in the body, and it does this by conjugating or breaking down and manufacturing new hormones. A healthy body needs a harmonious flow of energy to the liver. Acupuncture is the perfect therapeutic modality to do so.

In Chinese medicine, one of the most common diagnoses is liver Qi stagnation, which essentially means that energy is not flowing well to the liver. Therefore, that can result, and often does result, in an imbalance in the hormone, leading to these symptoms:

  • Irritability
  • Mood swing
  • Food cravings
  • Weight gain
  • Fatigue
  • Depress
  • Hot flashes
  • Night sweats
  • PMS.
  • Acne & other skin conduction

Research has shown that acupuncture helps regulate those obesity hormones like adrenaline and leptin. The purpose is to curb your appetite and reduce your craving for food as well as to regulate other hormones like cortisol and insulin. Technically, Cortisol creates abdominal fat in the body, and Insulin helps the body store excess fat. Acupuncture also increases metabolism and improves digestion.

Acupuncture is phenomenal in creating and regulating a harmonious flow and balance of energy to the liver. This ancient technique can help alleviate cravings and keep you on track to a healthy weight. Therefore, acupuncture is becoming very popular for weight loss and weight maintenance.
